Leafy Fall Wedding Sets with Invitations, Programs, RSVP Cards, and More

Fall is upon us, the leaves are changing colour, and although our beautiful summer is over, we are left with some vastly beautiful scenery.  Where we live, every fall, a group of our friends take a long walk up what is called, "The Mountain," and have a picnic on a rock ledge, overlooking acres upon acres of beautiful fall trees.  It would be an absolutely beautiful time of year to have a wedding.

I got into the spirit of creating fall wedding sets this summer actually.  It was very interesting.  As, I was able to take pictures of green leaves and using my favourite photo editing software, I transformed them into having beautiful fall colours.  Who knew computers were so cool.  And I have to say, it's a handy feature as I felt it was important to create my fall sets before the autumn season was upon us.  Now, it's fall and I'm creating winter stationary.  My friend said that by the time the holidays are upon us, I will be very sick of Christmas.  I find that hard to believe, but I suppose time will tell.

Destination Wedding Invitations

Wow, I was up pretty late last night creating my newest lens, but it was well worth it. This one really makes me want to go on a vacation. It's a good thing we have one planned for next May. Yes, it's a ways away, but when you have kids, going anywhere at all is exciting.

I had a blast finding all these great destination wedding invitations.  There are some really great designs.  Here it is,  The Best Destination Wedding Invitation Templates Online.

I didn't have too many of my own designs to feature in this lens, but I did have a few that I am quite proud of.  Some friends of our are getting married in the tropics, so I got to make their wedding invitation.  I was so honoured to have that opportunity.

Purple Star Award for Best Wedding Invitations Lens

Today was an exciting day in Squidoo world.  I only just started making lenses at Squidoo just over a week ago and I just won a Purple Star Award.  This is a big deal.  They only give out 1000 of these per year and there are over a million lenses on Squidoo.  This is my second lens ever, mind you, I worked very hard at it.  The award winner is my first ever Best Customizable Wedding Invitation Templates lens.

This lens actually features one of my past wedding set designs for the lens image.  I designed this image, using one of my favourite artist's floral paint brushes, Mel's Brushes.  She has some fantastic designs that are perfect for manipulating and adding great features to my wedding designs.

Although many of the designs on my wedding invitation lens are my own, there is a large amount that are not.  I think that if I'm making a lens about the best wedding invitations, that I choose amongst the wide selection that exists online.

I'm looking forward to extending my wedding lens into more specific topics.  In the future, I plan to create a classic colours lens that will feature invitations with response cards and thank you cards.  I would also like to create a colourful wedding set lens and a destination invitations lens.

Purple Floral Swirl Wedding Set

I was a little too ambitious last night.  I was up until 1:30am designing this one, but I have to say, I'm quite proud of it. 

This purple and green floral swirl wedding invitation  must have taken me around 1 1/2 - 2 hours to complete.  I'm not completely sure because I kind of lose track of time when I'm in "the zone."

This purple and green floral swirl wedding set contains matching rsvp cards, save the date cards, thank you cards, and wedding programs.

Usually, when I design a new set, it takes a little while to design my elements, but I have to say that most of my time is spent placing the design elements.  It becomes much quicker when everything is in place and I am simply changing the colours.  Zazzle has a great feature that allows you to customize your designs.  This allows me to simply go into a design I already made, then switch the colours.  All of my text and layout still exists, even the text and photo items that I have made into a templates are still in tact.  This really saves a lot of time once the initial design faze is complete.
